Terms of Service

Last updated: August 7, 2026. By using RentersFax, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site or purchase a report.

The service

RentersFax provides building intelligence compiled from public records and related signals — including scores, summaries, and unlockable report details. It is an informational tool for renters, not legal, housing, or financial advice.

Purchases

We offer a one-time report unlock ($3.99) and an unlimited monthly plan ($19.99/mo). Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices may change; the amount shown at checkout is what you pay.

  • One-time unlocks apply to the specific building report you buy and are delivered digitally via site access.
  • Subscriptions unlock reports while the subscription remains active under our access rules.
  • Because reports are digital and delivered immediately, purchases are generally non-refundable except where required by law or when we cannot deliver access due to a verified billing error on our side.

No guarantees about housing outcomes

Scores, flags, rent-stability proxies, and narratives are estimates based on available public data, which may be incomplete, delayed, or wrong. RentersFax does not guarantee that a building is safe, legal, rent-stabilized, or suitable for you. Always verify with official sources, a lawyer, or city agencies before signing a lease.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Scrape, bulk-download, or resell report content without permission
  • Attempt to bypass paywalls, rate limits, or access controls
  • Use the service for unlawful surveillance, harassment, or fraud
  • Misrepresent RentersFax data as an official government determination

Intellectual property

Site design, scoring methodology, packaging, and original copy belong to RentersFax. Underlying city datasets remain public; our cleaned matches, scores, and presentation do not grant you rights to redistribute them.

Disclaimer

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent allowed by law, RentersFax is not liable for lease decisions, damages, lost housing opportunities, or reliance on report content. Our total liability for any claim related to a purchase is limited to the amount you paid us for that purchase in the prior 12 months.

Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date on this page.
